This photograph has been copied onto a single frame of 8-millimetre reversal film and we are looking at that frame on a light table. The original crop sits inside the camera gate — same distance, same place for every person and object. Nothing is recast as a different shot.
Sprocket holes run one edge. The gate is a little dirty: a hair, a dust speck in the emulsion. Colour is warm, slightly faded reversal dye, not modern digital grade. Fine grain. A hint of gate weave, as if the claw had just pulled the film.
No title card, no studio logo, no letterbox bars from a named movie, no CGI film-strip filter floating on a still photo. The picture is the film.
