Outpaint
v1ProExtend a picture past its edges — after checking a crop would not do.
- You give
- A picture
- You get
- The same scene, past its edges
Free alternative: If the shape you need is already inside the picture, you do not need a model. Image crop runs on your own device, free and without an account.
Extend
What you will get back
1.80× wide · 1.00× tall
Sent to the model
Extend this picture outward by 40% to the left and 40% to the right, inventing what continues past the existing edges. Keep the original picture exactly as it is in place, unchanged and uncropped, and match the new area to it in perspective, lighting and colour.
Runs in the background — you can leave this page, and the result still lands in your Generator library.
How this works
Grows a picture past its edges — the “image expander” — so a square crop becomes a wide one without losing what was in it.
Useful in one direction only: extending invents, and cropping does not. If the frame you want is already inside the picture, crop it for free.
The existing scene, perspective, lighting and grain carry outward and your original frame stays exactly where it was. Your subject is not repeated either — a second copy of the person turning up in the new space is the classic way this goes wrong.
