The words are the point, not the swatches. A prompt cannot use #8B5A2B; it can use “warm brown”. The names come from a deliberately coarse table — a model's text encoder has a much firmer grip on “blue” than on a paint-catalogue name, and a palette full of “periwinkle” produces prompts nobody writes. Near-black and near-white pixels are skipped when there is anything else, because a portrait that is 30% shadow is not a picture about black — and when there is nothing else, they are counted, because an empty palette is not the truth about a night photograph.
