Seedream 5 Lite is ByteDance's cheap Seedream 5 stills SKU — not a setting on Seedream 5 Pro, and not Seedance. On Visxy it is a throwaway pass through the image prompt library: 9:16, a layout, words you might delete.
If you already know the still is a keeper, you are on 5 Pro. ByteDance's lasso, layers, and web-search studio are not on this composer. Prompt, frame, effort. Attach a still when you are editing.

Effort here has an extra mark Pro does not — a heavier pass that exists only on Lite. Draft on the lighter marks; do not open Lite's top effort just because it is there. A bad crop at the top mark is still a bad crop.
What it is not: 5 Pro with the quality turned down, Seedance, or a 4K print engine. Do not hunt for a 1K/2K/4K size chip.
Against Seedream 5 Pro: own family. Pro is the current Seedream still. Lite is the try. Animating — editing — a Lite still must not become a Pro job. On Visxy it will not: they are paired separately.
