Luma Ray 3.2 is the current Ray — not Ray 2, not Ray 2 Flash, not Dream Machine as a product name on this page. On Visxy it is a short video-library clip: 9:16, one idea, five or ten seconds on text-to-video.
Luma sells frame-level direction, HDR, and EXR. We do not map those. No 16-keyframe timeline, no Modify Video, no Reframe-as-a-product. Prompt, length, frame, size — that is the composer.
A short, watchable beat with a photographic bias. Ray's reputation is cinematic stills that happen to move. A Visxy vertical portrait-in-motion is in range. A three-act story is not: the clip is short on purpose.
Image-to-video on Ray can reframe rather than inherit the source. Crop still matters; you are not stuck with a bad still's aspect if you pick another.
No other Luma row. Do not look for Ray 3. The comparison is Ray 3.2 against Luma's own studio, which this page is not. If you needed keyframes, you would be in Luma's app, not here.
Text-to-video offers the two short marks (five and ten). Animating a still is the short clip in this mapping — do not assume the longer mark survives a start frame. If the slider refuses ten once a picture is attached, that is the contract, not a bug.
